when i think of the things i use to do as a child with my hair... it makes me want to scream. the damage this culture does to ones idea of self is outrageous. the mental damage that happens to our children is sad. but i have grown up now... it was in my later teen that i figured out some things. and worked on realizing i want to be successful with my natural hair... i will not have it any other way!..i have been locing for decades... i will not go back.

i am a graphic designer for the washington informer newspaper ( a black owned paper 45 years old) in the dc area.
