After I decided to go natural, my inner journey began and I had to purge all the brainwashing about what beauty is.  I once thought straight hair was beautiful and groomed, but going natural made me recognized that I am beautiful just as the Universe made me, curly kinks, and all. I have learned to embrace my natural wavy/curly hair and I have learned to go with flow of my hair and not against it. Experimenting with different styles and accessories has shown me how versatile natural hair can be!

    You are gorgeous and you definitely know how to work that head wrap. So it is unfortunate that you did not proofread your essay. It definitely needs some fine-tuning. Try to pick it up for the next challenge so that your photos and your essay are at the same level.

    Great ideas! Your essay leaves me wanting more and I wish you would have written more about your experience. I like how clean your pictures are and the focus is in the right areas. Next time remember to engage the camera more, maybe instead of doing a complete ½ profile, do a ¾ profile so we can still see your beautiful face and also see how your hair is styled on the side.
