Men and Napps Black men have always pushed the envelop flaunting their natural tresses unapologetically. Unlike women, they never seemed to be held back by society's standards of beauty. While women are still doing more of the same, straightening and weaving, men moved from the konk to Afros and fades, then from the Jheri curl to locs. Yet, most women are convinced that (Black) men don't like natural hair. So, this is the spot where we candidly ask men about Black hair, their natural strands and ours. Is there a difference? |

Women, I prefer natural, it is the best way to be in all aspect because that's how you were created and you are amazing in that light alone. I am not a fan of weaves or wigs.

I love the idea of promoting the natural beauty of African hair. I don't think that black hair is an issue. The only way it becomes on is if it's not taken care of properly.

My hair is a direct extension of myself. It is representation of my growth over the years. It defines me as a creative being. I wear my hair this way because it represents the amount of time I have spent on my own as an adult.
