Who is your Favorite model?

Skyyler.

What is your favorite book?
Black Red & Deadly.

What is your favorite movie?
Disney's Aladdin.

Why did you become a model and what is your goal as a model?
An amazing photographer friend of mine (Zedneram) generated my interest and here I am. Goal as a model is to be the best I can be.

How important is your hair as a model? Why do you choose to wear your hair the way you do?
My hair is what I am known for, it started as a suggestion by Zedneram to set me apart from the rest of the male model who have a similar look as me, so I started growing it out and felt it is more me that have a clean short buzz cut like everyone else. I wear my hair as it is because it is how I feel and it represents myself, my history, and my family.

What does your hair mean to you? Is it just an accessory that compliments your personality and style or is it deeper than that?
My hair doesn't have a deep meaning since it is just a hair and I will not get to have it for the remainder of my time here. It is only temporary and it's simply hair, because if I was not enough without it I wouldn't be enough with it, as said in Disney's Cool Runnings.

How important is a woman's hair to you? Does a weave, relaxed hair or a natural head bother you or do you have a preference for either of these styles?
Women I prefer natural is the best way to be in all aspect because that's how you were created and you are amazing in that light alone. I am not a fan of weaves or wigs, yet that doesn't make them bad. Similar to I am not a fan of make up either, yet in shows I have to wear it at times. I still personally do not like either.

What do you think of our pageant “America’s Next Natural Model” to promote natural African hair?
I think it is a great idea and concept and could be a fantastic outlet to show people the different options as well as the diversity and dynamics of natural hair.

Do you think black hair is an issue? Why or why not?
Yes black hair is an issue: 1. its black and if you look in the dictionary black is deemed bad. 2. if it was not an issue there would not be a multi-billion dollar industry. 3. Hair period is the first thing you see and stereotypes grasp us before we know it. I love asking people what they first thought of me before then after we actually have a conversation and the answer always pertains to my hair. It is a lot to handle and take, yet it is always an ice breaker and conversation starter. No matter what, I love it.
