Why is this cleanser called a "healing" cleanser?

I originally created this cleanser because I like to use wholesome, organic and natural body and hair care. After the discovery of a product I was able to use for my sensitive acne prone skin, hair care, and for my body, I was inspired to create a product that would work for all three as well. I incorporated ingredients that I have found to be very beneficial to my healthy life style and to my body and hair care.

Calcium Bentonite Clay

Calcium Bentonite clay absorbs toxins, bacteria and viruses from the body and dirt (from the skin and hair). It has been used to treat Eczema, Psoriasis, taken internally, and externally. People with ethnic or curly hair also use it as a gentle hair cleanser (versus shampoos that can be very drying and harsh on hair), deep treatment to define natural curls and temporarily "loosen" curl pattern for more manageability (loosen tangles as well)

Honey

Honey is a natural preservative, antibacterial (great for acne and cleansing body), and natural moisturizer. Honey also has anti-microbial properties and is known to treat minor irritations and sun burns. It has the ability to retain water and is an ancient healing remedy used for many years. It fights skin damage and skin aging as it has antioxidant properties. It brings shine to hair, while leaving it soft and silky. Honey is excellent for oily acne prone skin, as it moisturizes and treats skin with its natural nutrients and antibacterial properties.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is full of vitamin C, antioxidants, an abundance of fruit acids and sugars that are great for acting as an exfoliant, black head remover, skin brightener and sunburn treatment. Lemon juice can brighten and lighten the skin naturally. The juice can be used to lighten age spots and other facial discolorations. lemon juice is rich in alpha hydroxy acids that help exfoliate the skin and get rid of dead skin cells. Removing dead skin cells allows the pores to breathe, promotes new skin growth and helps maintain skin's elasticity.

How to use this Multipurpose soap:

Face & Body Cleanser:

Great for sensitive skin types, problematic skin, and with the lemon juice it will naturally exfoliate your skin and lift the impurities from your skin and unwanted toxins that can build up over the years. It is also very cooling, perfect for at home spa, and for those hot summer days. I use this cleanser everyday for soft, radiant, healthy skin.

Hair Cleanser (shampoo replacement):

Calcium Bentonite Clay lifts up dirt and buildup from scalp (and hair) and creates a cooling sensation on your scalp. Honey will leave your hair soft, silky, AND shiny :o) Apply a quarter size amount to the pads of your fingers and gently massage scalp. This is highly concentrated, so a little bit goes a long way! Rinse thoroughly and style as usual.
